Parameter meaning

  • Upper price: The highest price that the bot will trade at
  • Lower price: The lowest price that the bot will trade at
  • Grids: Divide the price range(lower price-upper price) into corresponding buy and sell orders.
  • Total Investment: The amount of cryptocurrencies you plan to invest
  • Advanced settings: advanced parameters for you to customize your bot further.

Advanced settings

  • Trigger price: Only after hitting a trigger price, then the pre-programmed bot will be opened, (For example, the current price of ETH is 2000 USDT, and the trigger price is set as 2100 USDT. When the price of ETH reaches 2100 USDT, the bot will be created automatically)
  • Stop loss: After the price drops to this price, the bot order will be closed, and your remaining positions in the bot will be sold.
  • Take profit: After the price exceeds a set price, the bot will be closed, and your remaining positions in the bot will be sold for profit.
  • Slippage control: Keep the difference between the initial order price and the execution price within a set percentage range.
  • Grid mode-Arithmetic: the price interval between each grid is a fixed number (for example 1 → 1, 2, 3, 4)
  • Grid mode-Geometric: the price interval between each grid is a fixed percentage (for example 100% → 1, 2, 4, 8)
  • Investment-USDT Only: Only use USDT to create the grid bot.
  • Investment-Both: You can invest both coins in your account at the same time to create the grid bot (for example, when you select the BTC/USDT trading pair, you can use your existing BTC to fill your BTC position in the bot instead of purchase with USDT)

Example

Take the BTC/USDT trading pair as an example. The setting parameters are:

Upper price: 100000 USDT

Lower price: 10000 USDT

Grids: 500

Grid mode: Arithmetic

Total Investment: 600 USDT

The price of BTC/USDT while the strategy was created: 15883.83USDT

Explanation

After the bot is created successfully, the bot will use a certain percentage of the investment to buy at the current price and place sell orders above the current price; the bot will keep a certain percentage of USDT to place buy orders below the current price. The bot will automatically buy low and sell high within the price range and accumulate the grid profit 24/7.
The bot will be suspended when the price rises above 100,000 USDT or below 10,000 USDT. When the price returns to the price range, the bot will resume trading.

Risk——with great power comes great responsibility

  1. The bot will temporarily stop if the price exceeds the upper or lower limit. It will continue trading after the price gets back in the price range. (Note: If the user sets the stop price, and the stop price is triggered. The grid strategy will be terminated.)
  2. Grid trading bot is a trading tool but should not be regarded as financial or investment advice from Webot.
  3. If the user sets too few grids, and the price fluctuates in the gap between the grids but doesn’t actually hit any grids, then the bot will not automatically place orders.
  4. If there are unforeseen issues like currency suspension or delisting during grid strategy, it stops automatically.
  5. It is recommended that users should read and fully understand the Grid Trading Tutorial and make risk control and trade rationally.
